Explore Croatia by Sea: Our Split to Dubrovnik Cruises

A Split to Dubrovnik cruise with Yacht Club Croatia takes you along the most celebrated stretch of the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. The journey begins in Split, where daily life still flows through the walls of Diocletian’s Palace and where markets, squares and waterfront promenades have been active for centuries. From here we set out across the Adriatic, visiting islands that combine ancient stone towns with quiet coves and family vineyards.

The route ends in Dubrovnik, a city that once stood as an independent republic and today remains one of the most remarkable destinations in the Mediterranean. Travelling this coastline by yacht gives you access to places that larger ships cannot reach and allows you to enjoy the natural beauty and cultural history of Croatia in a more personal way.

A yacht cruise from Split to Dubrovnik also offers a rhythm that suits the slow pace of the Adriatic coastline. Mornings are spent swimming in clear water or relaxing on deck, afternoons bring a new harbour and town to explore, and evenings are for walking narrow streets and dining by the sea.

On board, the yacht becomes your base with ensuite cabins, spacious decks and attentive crew. It is a style of travel that blends comfort with discovery, giving you the freedom of a Croatia island hopping cruise without the hassle of constant transfers or crowded ferries.

Itinerary

The itinerary is designed to balance relaxation with discovery, allowing you to see the best of the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia while keeping the pace comfortable.

Day One - Split to Trogir

Cruising out of the Port of Split, we head towards our first swim stop. Nothing beats that first jump into the stunning Adriatic Sea. After a few hours relaxing and swimming, we head for the town of Trogir, known for its beautiful architecture with churches dating back to the 13th century. After some time to explore, tonight we get to know each other over a welcome dinner onboard.

Inclusions: Dinner

Day Two - Trogir to Jelsa

The small and charming town of Jelsa was once the centre for shipbuilding and trade for the island of Hvar. From here, the best wines, olive oil and dried fish from Hvar would make their way around Europe. After a lazy day of sailing and swimming, we head to a local family winery on the island to try some of Hvar’s famous produce. Spend the evening at one of the town’s waterfront restaurants or bars.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Three - Jelsa to Hvar

A short sail around the north of Hvar brings us to yet another beautiful swim stop for a morning of leisure. Later, we head to explore the beautifully well-retained Venetian town of Hvar which was once an important military stronghold. Visit the medieval Španjola Fortress, which has watched over the town since the 13th century, and enjoy the postcard views of the town and surrounding islands. Watch the sunset tonight with a cocktail in hand at one of Hvar’s waterfront bars or day clubs.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Four - Hvar to Vis

Vis is one of the most outer-lying islands on the Dalmatian Coast. Cut off from the rest of the world for decades as a Yugoslav military base, the island retains a slow and relaxed vibe. Today we make a stop at the Blue Cave of Biševo where a small boat takes trips in to see the spectacular blue water. The afternoon leaves plenty of time to swim and explore the idyllic and charming town of Komiža, our port for the evening.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch, Blue Cave entrance (weather permitting)

Day Five - Vis to Korčula

We continue south to the island of Korčula, with some swimming along the way. Famous for its beautiful old town, local wines and as the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo, Korčula is set against the dramatic mountain backdrop of the Pelješac Peninsula. Spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful streets, markets and jewelery stores before dinner or a cocktail with a view.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Six - Korčula to Mljet

After a short sail, we spend the morning exploring the beautiful Mljet National Park, where lush pine forests surround two salt water lakes. There is the option to cycle or kayak around the lakes, and even visit the island Monastery of St Mary. After lunch onboard and a relaxed afternoon, we will anchor in a secluded bay to enjoy the Captain’s Dinner on-board and (hopefully) toast to a spectacular sunset.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, entrance to Mljet National Park

Day Seven - Mljet to Dubrovnik

After a final swim, we cruise into the incredible UNESCO World Heritage protected city of Dubrovnik. You will see why it is known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, with its spectacular city walls, rich history, and vibrant dining and nightlife. More recently the city has become famous as the setting of King’s Landing in Game of Thrones, and an optional historical walking tour with a local guide is available. Tonight we celebrate the week that was with an optional dinner and night out at the famous Club Revelin.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Eight - Disembarkation

Check out is after breakfast on this final morning.

Inclusions: Breakfast
